New Essence Research Program

Guidelines for Submission of Anecdotal Stories or Case Histories

By taking part in this program, you agree to submit two anecdotal stories or one case history (according to the guidelines listed below) for each essence you receive. Time limit for submission of this information is one (1) year from the date you receive the essences.

Anecdotal stories are an easy way to share factual, verifiable, and consistent phenomena that you, your clients, or friends have observed from using the essences. This format is particularly suited for those who are new to the essences and who are not practicing professionally. These stories can be submitted in any format, but should be at least 350 words in length.

Case Histories are a more formal and structured way of recording information on how the essences work in a particular therapeutic context. This format is more suitable for those who are practicing flower essence therapy professionally and already have some record keeping skills in place.

You may use the forms that we provide (see the PDF links below) to construct these cases, or your own, as long as they include all of the information listed on our forms. Each case history should cover at least two (2) dosage cycles with a given client. While we prefer that you use just the Alaskan Research essences for these cases, we will also accept submissions where these essences were used in combination with others. However, the Alaskan Research essences should play a prominent role in each case.

All research submissions can be sent electronically. Anecdotal stories can be emailed to: research@alaskanessences.com. Case History documentation can be sent by email as an attachment in PDF format. If you would rather not submit your research electronically, please mail it to: AFEP, PO Box 1369, Homer, AK 99603. All submissions will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality.

Case History Guidelines - The following documentation is required for each case history:

1: Client Intake Form. This should be filled out by your clients, in their own words, describing impressions and interpretations of their situation and their goals for using the essences, before the start of the first dosage cycle. If you are working with children, animals, or someone unable to write, you can record the information yourself, or have the client's parent, guardian, or relative complete the form. To review this form or download a blank copy of it in PDF format, please click here.

2: Practitioner Case Evaluation Form. Use this form to document your observations at the conclusion of each dosage cycle. Please include any additional notes that support the assessment of your work with each client. To review this form or download a blank copy of it in PDF format, please click here.

3: Client Self-Evaluation Form. TThis form is to be filled out by the client, after the dosage cycle has been completed, recording their impressions and understanding of how each essence worked for them. If you are working with children, animals, or someone unable to write, you can have the client's parent, guardian, or relative complete the form. To review this form or download a blank copy of it in PDF format, click here.

4: Summary Report. This report should be written in a narrative style and should summarize the experience you had with each client during the time that you worked together. It should include your overall impressions on the changes you observed in your client during the dosage cycle and how the research essences you are working with may have initiated or catalyzed these changes.

If you have any questions please call 907-235-2188 or email: research@alaskanessences.com. And thank you for participating in our New Essence Research Program!
