Workshop Location
Your flight or drive to Homer will be a thrilling introduction to the breathtaking scenery of south-central Alaska. You will see snowcapped mountain peaks, lakes, glaciers, and volcanoes, and pass by fields and hillsides filled with vibrant wildflowers.
The Twin Creeks Trailhead Lodge will be our home base. It is nestled in rolling hills near the town of Homer and overlooks Kachemak Bay and the surrounding wilderness. The lodge is named for its close proximity to the Homestead Trail, which will be our main access for visiting a variety of wildflower habitats. And, you will have plenty of time to hike and explore the trail on your own as it won't get dark until after midnight!
The lodge itself offers very comfortable apartments and sleeping quarters, an outdoor hot tub and sauna, and fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. Delicious organic meals will be prepared onsite and served family style. Therapeutic massage will also be available at the lodge by appointment.
If you are able to arrive a few days before the course, or can stay after, we encourage you to take advantage of one or more of the exciting activities available in this area:
|
- Glacier Viewing
- Mountain Bike Rental
- Birdwatching
- Sea Kayaking
